Katherine is an experienced psychotherapist, working with individuals from 18 years and older who are experiencing a wide range of difficulties. Katherine has worked in private practice as a psychotherapist for many years; she has a depth and breadth of work experience having worked in both youth and adult inpatient mental health settings, in community mental health, and as a school counsellor in multicultural schools in the Middle East. She offers supervision to psychotherapists, counsellors and others in leadership or helping roles.
Katherine has a particular interest in therapeutic work which includes ‘the body’ more intentionally in talking therapy with chronic and complex post-traumatic stress responses; and in working alongside people seeking personal change and growth, who are wanting to free themselves from repetitive patterns and blocks in their lives.
In her work, Katherine seeks to create with clients an accepting, reflective, confidential and non-judgemental relationship in which troubling questions about the client’s mind-body-soul can be explored with gentle, open and honest curiosity, enabling people to approach their difficulties and find healing.
